Markets explained like a friend, not a textbook.

Hi besties! My name is Julia and I recently graduated with my MSc in Finance and Investments from Copenhagen Business School. So, I have officially entered the adulting world. Very very spooky. And one thing I realized during my degree is that there's a difference between studying finance and understanding what's actually happening in the markets.

Every week there was another news headline that everyone seemed to understand except me, despite having a degree. Quantitative easing became quantitative tightening. The Fed went from 'dovish' to 'hawkish' overnight. Central bankers debated whether inflation was 'transitory' or 'sticky. A mild "market correction" spiraled into a full-blown bear market. And I could go on forever. Everyone spoke as if they'd known what a yield curve was since birth but only a few stopped to explain what had happened.

But the thing is, these stories aren't just for people on Wall Street or the "finance bros/girls", they affect all of us. They influence the prices we pay, the jobs we work, our pensions, our savings and much more in one way or another.

That is why I started Wall Street for the Girls. I wanted to create a space that translates all the jargon and where finance stops being intimidating.

And despite the name, "for the girls" has never meant only for girls. It's for anyone who's ever read a financial headline and thought, "I probably should know what that means."

Because at the end of the day, we're all just adults who select 'forgot password' every week, but at least we diversify our portfolios.
